Histone variants and genome organisation. Our research aims to understand how eukaryotic genomes are organised by chromosomal proteins, with a particular focus on the histone variant H2A. We use a combination of whole-genome approaches. To study histones in budding yeast and mammalian cells. This combination of technologies allows us to gain information about global chromosome organisation and the molecular details of histone biology.
Samurai orchid as an orchid model species. Welcome to the Kim Lab. Our research is focused on plant evo-devo, particularly mechanisms controlling shapes and sizes of flowers and leaves. We are interested both in fundamental research and in applying our knowledge to generate more desirable crops in response to the ever-changing global climate.
